Determine Your Ring Size
How to Determine Your Ring Size: A Step-by-Step Guide
Finding your correct ring size is the first step to getting the perfect fit. A ring that is too loose can slip off, while one that is too tight will be uncomfortable. Here are three simple and accurate methods you can use at home.
Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring
This is one of the easiest ways if you already have a ring that fits the intended finger well.
- Select a ring that fits the finger you want to measure.
- Place the ring on a flat surface.
- Use a ruler with millimeter markings to measure the inside diameter of the ring. Be careful to measure from the inner edge to inner edge, not including the thickness of the ring itself.
- Take the measurement in millimeters and use the chart below to find your ring size.

Method 2: Measure Your Finger with Paper or String
If you don't have a ring that fits, you can measure your finger directly using a piece of paper or a non-stretchy string.
- Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string.
- Wrap the paper or string around the base of the finger you want to measure. It should be snug but not too tight.
- Use a pen to mark the point where the paper or string overlaps.
- Remove the paper or string and measure the length from the starting end to the mark you made. This is the circumference of your finger.
- Use the chart below to find the corresponding ring size.

Method 3: Use a Printable Ring Sizer
For a more convenient option, you can search online for a printable ring sizer.
- Download and print a ring sizer from a reputable source, ensuring your printer settings are set to 100% scale (do not scale to fit).
- Cut out the sizer, following the instructions provided.
- Insert the pointed end into the slit to create a circle.
- Slip the sizer onto your finger and pull it until it fits snugly. The number that aligns with the slit is your ring size.

Tips for Getting the Best Measurement
- Measure at the end of the day: Your fingers are typically largest at the end of the day.
- Consider your knuckle: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
- Measure multiple times: Take a few measurements to ensure accuracy.
